Looks like RCGroups is now blocking links from here. If you paste the link from Wild Moose's post, you get a forbideen, either that or I am banned from groups now...

Will, the 'direct' links above are blocked for me too, from HF, but if I copy and past them into a new browser they all come up just fine. Maybe you ARE blocked.

It looks like RCG checks the referrer address when an image is requested. If you click on the link they see that you came from another site and block access. If you copy the link and paste it into your browser, they let it through.

A nearby school I shot today. Nice weather for Oct. A bit windy, though.

Mark..I see you went over and took a picture of my home town school...this school is beautiful! My sister is a teacher there and my Brother in law was instrumental in planning and funding of the building...wish we would hae had something like this 25 years ago when I was going to school...we went to a one room highschool!

Great Picture!!!!

And my daughter is a student there. I was glad when I moved to the smaller schools as it was too easy to get lost in the schools like this one :?

Thanks

Here is a shot from yesterday.

It was a bit windy and again I was flying solo, so it required a bit of cleanup. There were also some nasty power lines/poles in the way, so they had to go also.

awesome job scott! here is an animated gif (256 colors) of the photo ran through the same process i always post about. click the animated gif to see a flash slideshow that contains all of the 16 million colors. (of course - i'm working with compressed jpgs though).

here is the CS2 Photoshop Action File if you'd like to use it: LINK

---

here's the last one of 12 locations i am working on for a realtor. on this particular shot i didn't have to take the copter up - there was a 35' retaining wall across the street that i stood on (picture is zoomed in and again - it's compressed for web. actual file looks alot nicer).

I bought a new Zenitar 15mm fisheye lens for my Rebel. It's made in the Ukraine. It's weighs about 10 ounces. I got it because I wanted to try something lighter on the E-Raptor and to experiment with some close-up stuff with my mast.

The lens seems kinda soft (but hey, it was only $125). I went out and shot some night shots with my mast last night to try it out. I need to get out and shoot some stuff from the heli now.

I'm liking the LAB color space. I've been reading the thread on digital grin and I still have a LOT to learn. On this one, I tweaked the curves and played with the levels. I used the Shadows/Highlights tool, but I left the shadows alone. I wanted the image to focus more on the house and not the unlit yard and roof. The Shadow/Highlight tool is amazing!

totally - that picture shows a marked improvement, although it might be just a little much. you want to use LAB to enhance but not 'fakeify' your image. you can do this by dropping it back just a skosh or by keeping the image as is, opening the original and overlaying it on top of or underneath and reducing the opacity of the original to something like 10-30% so that the LAB version is still the predominant result with a little of the original coming through. dont forget your masks - those are also EXTREMELY useful in editing what you want while leaving other things alone and blending the results between the 2 (or 3+). glad i could help. next, we'll need to get you into some really nice panos.

i only wish i could do night shots with my heli GREAT JOB Mark!

A couple weeks ago when I did the shoot at Tagalong my Dad showed up with his new camera (D80) to get some pictures. He sent me the small compressed versions but they still look nice.

We used the shuttle golf cart as a mobile command station and my cameraman was able to spent the entire day sitting. It worked out really nice, we tried fitting the gear on a regular cart before we got the bigger one and it did not work

Default local R/C airfield

Kona R/C Flyers Field. We already had a few airplane crashes in the pacific ocean. They were left out there to help create an "artificial reef."

Last of the fall colors. Might be gone by next week.

Shot this about noon today as a little tiny bit of sun peaked out.

Mindarie Keys - Perth, Western Australia - a couple from the set taken this morning!

Standard straight from the camera - will probably use Photoshop later.

Finally got to take some pics of my local scuba park but the wind above 100ft was a little strong for my small Swift. These pics were slightly blurry as a result of the wind.

There are several of these tanks throughout the area left over from clay mining. Most are full of water and are typically crystal clear and very blue.

I got a few good images and will be back for more when the wind dies down...

EDIT - Here's the location on Google Maps

Wes, you DOG!!!!

You beat me to 'em. Those shots look great! I know the water is a lot deeper than it looks in those photos.

I've been working on a promo video for my website. I know it's not a photo, but hey, it's aerial! I've paired it down to 2 minutes and I had a girl at work do some narration for me.
It's 20MB, but I'm going to put a video player on my home page which gives the viewer a choice on connection speed.
