I love this design...can you just buy the spacers by themselves? I have the AD mild kit, but would rather use those spacers which seems to eliminate the need to cut out the frame and glue the carbon fiber stuff on. Well done!

Looking at the pics the frame is still cut at the stock motor supports and the front frame member has been cut away - possibly it saves the gluing the carbon fiber.

I'm digging the design. Still would love to see a completely new frame made specifically for BL

Yes the frame is cut out, but it does eliminate the need to glue carbon pieces.
The best bet is to PM pjacq about availability.

Thanks for the PM of the pics. I can now see the pics in the main thread. It's an interesting design, which provides good, solid mounting for the servos plus no need to CA carbon parts which will be hard to remove if you need replace the main frame. My only reservation would be about the additional weight that the kit adds. Very cool though!!

Does anyone have a vid up of this kit flying?
I'm really liking my Nano but would like it to have just a little more zip. In stock trim it does flip pretty quick but I don't think it will keep up tic tocs, maybe tiny rainbows. I also like the idea of a new frame for the brushless motor.

Good, no issue with rubbing the side of the servos.
I did trim the canopy a little to much to make sure I didn't have any rubbing. I used a hole punch a little to aggressively.

What are you guys soldering with? I just had 1 heck of a time replacing a Tail FET in my brand new Nano with my bulky soldering iron. I bought the Nano on the 21st with 4 stock total packs, flipped it the 22nd and never got through my 4th pack early that morning.
Shortly after I had started flipping it it dropped to the ground and the tail motor wouldn't shut off. It turns out the tail motor wires were resting right on top of the right aileron servo shaft that's turning every time the servo moves. I think it wore through the enamel on both wires and shorted out the tail circuit and blew the tail FET. I found a FET from one of the kids old walmart mustang remote control cars. That thing was loaded with FET's. I lost the 1st one, destroyed the 2nd one and like to have never got the 3rd one installed. But its working now, I just forward flipped it in the house a dozen times are so and flew it inverted a while. I like it. I love its reset button, which is walk over and grab it and reset it and go again.

Got mine installed tonight did a little test hover and couple punches in the dark. Worked perfectly. Everything was a good fit and all supplied. I was nervous beforehand about the small solder job but that turned out to be pretty easy as well. Ty to both seller and op for the pics and feedback on the kit. Very happy with how rigid it is without having to glue it together. It was a very fast and painless install. Looking forward to playing with it a little(super busy day) tomorrow.

Got mine on order.
Looks like a very easy kit to install and the way the frame is braced there is no gluing.

So is this a frame upgrade or a full frame + brushless motor + esc upgrade? If it's just for the frame, can I use the astroid-design mild kit with it?
