Yeah, they'll work. But I wouldnt pay that much for paddles...I've flown ALOT of paddles...and I feel the KBDD's are the best bang for the buck when it comes to paddles. I also happen to use they're tail blades as well on the 500's. Thats a pretty good amount to loose in a crash....$40 compared to $28... ( paddles and flybars always take a damn good hit in a crash.)
The Edge paddles come with flybar weights I believe....you can use metal collars from any LHS for this and save a few bucks. The Edge paddles are bigger, probably alittle slower, but you wont feel the difference. If you were alot more experienced and had a really good feel for your heli, you would feel the change.
Honestly, this being your first 500... you should probably go with stuff thats good quality, but as cheap as you can for awhile. One crash on a FB head takes out ALOT of stuff..The KBDD paddles tend to survive better then any CF paddles...CF paddles will more then likely break apart at the FB inlet hole or split when they hit the ground, or Boom.

I agree those paddles look expensive. I'm using Align CF paddles.

Thanks for the input. I noticed that These edge paddles are the same length as stock but the width is way bigger. I think it's like 50 something mm wide.

I took a picture of the stock, KBDD, and Align CF but I keep getting time outs. If you're interested PM me with your email address and I'll send you the photo.

The Align CF are 65mm x 41mm
The KBDD are 75mm x 40mm and taper to 33mm
The Stock are 70mm x 41mm and taper to 30mm
