Default Just got a 48" Extreme Flight Edge 540T

I bought this plane after watching my friend fly one--I'm really impressed. I never thought I'd get into planes, but this thing is a lot of fun. Its a 3D plane. Has anyone else tried this model?

I havent flown the Extreme Flight EDGE but I know a pilot who does and it looks to fly pretty good. Most of the Extreme Flight planes are good fliers. I also didnt think I would enjoy planks at all but I now have a growing stable. If you like the Edge you may want to look into an Extra because the leading edge of the wings has little more sweep then the EDGE and doesnt have a tip stall tendancy like the EGE. Makes it slow fly so much easier...I have few friends who went from EDGE to EXTRA and say it is highly noticeable. I just ordered the 3DHS 47" Extra and friend is flying the Eflite 260 Extra and loves it...congrats on the plane...it is alot easier to fly planes but I have grown to respect ( a little more) good 3D plankers a little more...still love my helis first...

Edges are generally more resistant to stalling due to the straight leading edge (and effectively a forward sweep). Edges are much easier at high alpha maneuvers (like harriers), generally where you feel the difference the most is performing harrier turns, you can turn an Edge more tightly than an Extra before one of the wings will stall and drop out of the harrier. Edges also snap a little differently than Extras do.

Also, Edges usually have shorter tail moments so they can feel pitchier and rotate faster. Typically most people tend to think that Edges are better at wild 3D and Extras are better at precision, however both are very capable of both. Really since the difference is so small in *good* airframes, the decision should come down to which one looks better to you.

The EF Edges and Extras fly very well, you will not regret your purchase.
