Upgrades I'd recommend. Don't go with carbon fiber blades on it, they're extremely brittle on a heli this small.
I'd recommend the Lynx front tail case, the one that connects to the main frame, NOT the one that has tail blades on it, the stock boom likes to twist with the stock tail case, but the Lynx one has screws to secure it from twisting. The boom clamp from Lynx can also secure it, with the stock case, which is the cheaper, easier option. When you damage your blades I'd recommend the Lynx blades over the stock or carbon fiber. Aluminum swash plate is also nice, the stock one can get quite a bit of play in it. I'm not sure what to do about landing gear. The stock landing gear breaks fairly easily, and so does the carbon fiber gear you can get from Lynx and Microheli. You can get the Lynx ultra flex landing gear, however it looks terrible in my opinion, plus it makes the heli sit very high making tip overs very easy to happen. Most importantly, you NEED aluminum gears and aluminum upper case for the cyclic servos. I had a very minor tip over on my maiden, and stripped a gear. Eventually my stock plastic upper cases for the servos (all 3) the screw tabs broke off, which was letting the servos move. |

Do what your budget allows.
Start with the servo cases, gears, and servo savers. Then grips and swash, tail slider and grips, the Lynx slipper works great but add a little tape to the outside of the bearings if they have play in the boom (the bearing play is what causes vibes). I have the ultra flex skids from Lynx, very tough and keeps the tail up if you like to land in grass. I fly with Zeal mains. I planted it in hard once and a blade was stuck 2 inches into the dirt holding the Heli up. Cleaned them and still fly them with no problems. They are tough as nails! Most upgrades I would replace as parts break, except the servo's! Do that right away and you can crash and repair in minutes!

I ordered an M1.6 x .35 pitch, and an M2 x .40 pitch tap from ebay and am waiting for them to arrive. I am praying that I can either re-tap the M1.6 threads, or possibly tap them to M2? I will post whether or not I had any success once I have tried this. I have no idea if the thread pitch for these two are correct, but that was all I could find offered, so I am hoping on that as well.
