I'll check again but pretty sure that was the weight. When I was putting in pullies etc, I weighed them against stock, nothing was more than stock weight, so not sure other then battery, but the 3000s work good in other machines so I will suck up the extra weight of those and not worry to much about it. With the larger cells you will get more cycle life from more demanding setups, which I have, and this heli imho benifits from abit of weight in maneuvers, each to their own.

Weighing again to confirm its actually 1722 grams RTF with a 3000mah 25C 6S1P Outrage Pack, and 1667 grams with a Outrage 2500mah 25C pack.

What are your weights for your Protos? I can't recall weighing my first one with plastic frames and similar setup....

You mean someone makes metal lower mixing arms? I didn't see any otherwise I would have.

Default My plain little guy

Nothing fancy here. Just happy to have her done. With any luck I'll get my zippy packs early so I can fly this beauty.

Here's Mine

Had a plastic white canopy for a while and finally painted it. Wish I would've known about plain fiberglass ones for good price on HeliDirect when I got it. I used just rattle cans, and the silver is vinal auto trim. It has a new look now at exactly 100 logged flights. The trimmed KBDD tails look nice matching it too. I love this bird!

I weighed mine without the pack or canopy, it's only 1197 grams so actually lighter then stock. My painted FG canopy is obviously abit heavier and the 450 gram 3000mah pack is chunky to, but the upgrades did not add weight, they actually reduced it.

Very good airbrushing and a unique design! IMO, not too visible, maybe less than stock even, but nice design non the less.

Yes very nice. ABout the visibility, I had an Xcell canopy that was drk brown/reflective and looked really nice up close, but it was a bear to see when it got out there. Some canopy colors do work better for visibility. Some work best for show.

Trailblazer, I really like your white landing gear struts and fin!
Hi, Chris.

I am waiting for my Protos to arrive soon.

And, I actually planned to paint the canopy like you did for better visibility.

I did not read properly your comment here before. I have just read it now.

Does yellow colour on the canopy not really help more visibility? I imagine it does.

How do you find yellow so far? Have you already changed to dayglo green?

Thanks

Ian M

Might be a bad place for your satalite receiver. Too close to the tail boom/belt/static charge/discharge. Better on the side back there or much lower in the back away form the boom.

cool, I did the simple static fix and I know it made a difference for me. Was not a big issue but I saw some glitches I think was static and it made me uncomfortable. Now three flights later, no more glitches
