No never Futaba, I was trying on a used JR12X, about to give up on it. I then tried it on a brand new DX9 with the same results. I then tried the same with TH off with the DX9 after removing the main blades, and we have an ESC programmed. This time I got all the descending tones and the confirmation tones for mode 1 and 5. It just dawned on me that with TH on the Jive will never see 100% on the throttle?

I know its been said to not touch the endpoints and that the Jive will learn my travel. Does that mean that once I program 4 or 11 my throttle on my DX9 is calibrated to the Jive? Is 80% percent on my DX9 80% on the Jive?

80% throttle is 80% throttle but on the jive that is not pwm which is what you need to target. for pwm its as follows:

pwm = 50% + throttle%/2

so 60% throttle on your transmitter is where you need to start for 80% pwm you can push it as high as 70% but thats pushing it for govenor over head.

Hi All

Ive just purchased a 100lv jive version 13
I was just wondering if its possible to program the LVC to off without the need of a program card?
I want to run heli mode and dont mind if i loose power if my voltage runs down i just dont want it to cut off completly.
Many Thanks

I just picked up a JIVE 100LV v13. Do I need to program the ESC to mode 9 Lipo after mode 1 and move 4? I always program 1 reset and 4 for gov but I never set my previous jive to mode 9. Just wondering if mode 9 is needed.

So I've just upgraded my 2 helis to kontronik esc's, have got the 160 cool for y X7 and got a heli jive 120HV for my X5.
Bought both 2ND hand
Have a few questions.
On my X7 I was running a cc 160HV and tuned on computer and had to set pinion motor Kv timing and pmw. Do I have to set these on the kontronik? How's this done, with the prog disc?

On my X5 I'm still running the Gaui/scorpion 910kv motor and I only got the heli jive 120 as was the right price.

You typically don't need to mess with PWM or timing but they can be changed with either a prog disc or prog unit.

All you really need to do is the stick programming, Mode 1 then Mode 4 and set your throttle curve to what you need. If you need an good approximation of your head speed you can use Mel's calculator, it's pretty close.

I pulled the mains and tails off of the 550 and it spools up, everything seems to function properly except when I use throttle it not engaging until it reaches 70% of the stick.

I've tried:
0 -24-50-75-100 and no spool up until about 70%

I've tried a flat curve at 60% and nothing

Then I tried 70% and it starts up

Any ideas

Must do mode 1 first with TC of 0-100% and throttle endpoints at default 100%. This teaches the ESC your TX throttle values and resets it to factory default. Now you have to program any governor mode for it to function properly.

Please watch the video in the thread.

Thanks for the reply. I did the factory reset mode 1 and then did the mode 4. What video are you referring to? I think that's what I'm missing

Jive 60LV here.. I configured her awhile back, but can't recall how I configured her. Is there a process and/or tone alert to confirm existing configuration?

Thanks,
Raz

Default Kontronik Power Jazz Help!!!

I have a Jazz Pro 120a 52v and program card with the esc on a Diabolo 700 with Neu 700 motor. I watched a video on how to program it but I'm still a little confused, my radio is Vcontrol. If there is anyone that can help, it is greatly appreciated.
