Default Issue with brand new 9188

Hello all,
I purchased a 9188 from helidirect this time last year. I finally got around to installing ( I'm in the military....time is hard to come by) and I believe I got a dud. I plugged it into an AR700 into the rudder port along with my cyclic servo's just so I can get the servo wheels centered, using a 4.8 volt receiver pack. Cyclics worked but got nothing from the rudder. So I figured maybe not enough juice. Plugged in a 2s lipo and still nothing. Nothing still in the rudder port.Moved the servo to AIL and got a little bit of movement if I went full right cyclic. Is there anything else I can do? Or is DOA. I just took the wrapper of tonight!
Andre

The 9188 needs a proper specified frequency to work. Check the specs of the servo. If you connect it directly it wont work i believe.

I use same servos in my helis but via gyro (spartan ds 760 & quark). The gyro lets me to select the right pulse and frequency to feed the servo in order to make it function. With a bit of gain from the tx the servo will start to work.

Hope some one else can explain it better in other ways.

The Sk720 doesn't have that tail sevo listed in the setup tab so be sure to select the 540us that is paired with the 333 even though it is not exactly right it works well

Plugging the tail servo into a receiver port would subject it to a 1520us center pulse at 200hz, the tail servo needs a 720us center pulse at 560hz.
