Default Not getting 6 degrees on FBL Setup

I have just built a Curtis Youngblood Rave ENV 700 kit that I had lying around in my hobby room.

Anyway, setting up with a Spirit FBL unit.

Everything is working well, but I was unable to get 6 degrees in Step 8 of the wizard (Head Geometry)

I went down as far as the software would allow (64) and was only getting down to around 7.2 degrees.

I have checked all the linkage rod lengths and ball locations etc. and I can't see anything I have done incorrectly.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I have done wrong?

Or can I fly like it is?

Would love to help out but don't be know anything about setting up a Spirit. Believe you will have better luck getting this question answered in the Spirit forum.

Good luck with the ENV, Curtis designed a great heli, love how mine fly.

7.2 degrees pitch ?

You should be able to get 12.5 degrees pitch up and down no problem. This is measured with the blade 90 degrees to the heli.

And 8 to 9 degrees on cyclic. Measured with the blade in the same plane as the boom.

The six degrees is with cyclic correct?

The geometry of the ENV was designed around the requirements of the Total G flybarless unit, perhaps optimized is the best word. Where you see this is when you try to use a FBL unit other than Total G and try to set it up. The only one I've seen the problem with was the VBar. The fix was to change some of the balls on the swash and some linkage. I've used the VBar for years and it works great, but you need to optimize the geometry FOR that unit.

I use BD3SX on all my Helis. I have for quite awhile. I have no problem getting 12.5 to 13.5 degrees pitch on my Rave 635. Or the 700 it has the same head. With the stock balls.

Problem was not getting max pitch.

Problem was getting the 6% cyclic pitch.

Moved balls in a bit closer on the horns and it worked.
