Default RC helicopter for use in a plexiglass showcase box

Hello

I am wondering if anyone has experience with RC helicopters for use in a plexiglass showcase box. We have built such a box which is two meter high, 1 meter width and two meter long. In the middle it is another plexiglass wall which has an opening at the top and it is installed two miniature helidecks on each side of this wall.

Our goal is to fly the RC helicopter from one of the helidecks and land it safely on the other. We tried this with the Syma S107G, but it was very difficult to steer because of the aerodynamic drag from the propellors to the walls. Do anyone knows any RC helicopters which may be fit for this purpose?

You need something small and also probably not CP. Take a look at these. They fit in the palm of your hand and are remote control. Less than $10. These would be easy for anyone to control. Pick your color.

Those look kinda cool, do you have one? looking at the trans, they only have up, down, left and right, how are you to control forward and backward?

In those helis, the tail rotor actually controls forward and back.

Normally yes, but look at the transmitter, no forward and back

It's a coaxial and the controls are not like regular R/C. Don't know about the forward and backward. I was just looking for something cheap for the size of the case.

Look around on banggood. I'm sure you can find something for your needs.

How about this one ?

A bit more but does show controller with all directions. Also has gyro.

I have to ask what is the point of this exercise??? Regarding the heli, I would try a Blade mCX2. It's a 4 channel coaxial and a lot more controllable than a 3 channel Syma S107G (I have both). You will still have the same problem with the blade wash off the walls, but it will be easier to compensate providing you can fly reasonably well.

This showcase is for an exhibition where we display some of our helideck products. The helicopters we are using is just to make it a bit more fun for visitors.

The blade wash is a problem, but we need the walls so the helicopter will not fly away in the exhibition. I will check out the Blade, thanks for the feedback.

The advantage you will have with the Blade mCX2 is that it has a proper swashplate so you have aileron control to lean it away from the wall. It's just way more responsive than the Syma S107G and yet just as stable and docile.

Why not make the walls out of window screen material to avoid all the air currents bouncing off the walls. Let the air flow through the walls.
