Default 3 x Outrage BL 9180/9188 vs MKS HBL665/669 Combo Promo Set on 600

3 x Outrage BL 9180/9188 vs MKS HBL665/669 Combo Promo Set on 600sx

There is a good deal with HBL665-669-Combo-Promo-set, I know that MKS servos are very good, but I have not seen anybody to use these MKS HBL665/669 on Logo 600 or other helis yet.

1. What kind of servo horns do these MKS HBL665/669 servos need? (As I know Outrage servos use ALIGN)

2. Will MKS HBL665/669 servos fit on Logo 600?

Thx,
Laci

Hi

Just check the height of the servo from the mounting tabs down to the bottom.
The servos are quite tall and may touch each other when in the heli.

Regards
Paul

Edit: The above may be BS..... I recall one of my friends having issues. May have been Torq servos.

FYI, MKS makes the servos for Outrage. I just foundout the other day when purchasing the MKS promo set for another Logo 600 I'm building.

you want a better servo than both of those. Protek 250T. they do not buzz ever are very fast and torque is very strong

Protek 250t
speed @ 7.4v 0.07 sec <<<<<WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER
tq @ 7.4v 262 oz-in
price $129.99

MKS
speed @7.4v : 0.10 sec
tq @7.4v 229.14
price $153.50

jr 8717 hv
speed @7.4v .06 sec
tq @ 7.4v 230 oz

outrage bl980
speed@ 8.4v 0.10
tq @8.4 v 245.68
price $139.99

i will run nothing but protek 250T on my helis. these servos are unreal no noise no buzzing and so strong.

Those Protek specs remind me of the RJX servos. $94 for those thru helidirect.

Why would the noisiness be of any concern at all?

You're very enthusiastic and absolute about these Protek's. It might be time to offer up whether you're a rep or have other vested interest.

If he is a Rep for anyone it has to be in his sig per Will James.

havent heard of these before.
but FYI The Outrages are even overkill for 800 class helis.
Running them on the 770 as are many SAB reps and Team Pilots.

there are actually very few manufacturers in these servos, most outsource an slap a different label on them and market as a different brand.

Personally I would go for Futaba servos, they are still by far the most reliable i've used. I have had an MKS and an Outrage fail on me.

Ive had all brands of servo fail on me over 4 years and 30 helis.

there is no magic brand that is exempt.
Including Torqs, JRs, and Futabas.

I never saw a direct answer -- do the 9180/9188 fit the 600sx without modding or extra shimming?

They do not mention anything about the Protek being brushless. If this is true, they are behind the times especially for that price.

Would you run a brushed main motor in your heli?
Brushless servos have slightly less torque, but a much longer life expectancy.

+1 on the ProTek servos! Fast, strong, and quiet (FWIW).

They use a coreless motor so, if I understand, are not brushless.
