Belt CP+Futaba 7C throttle problem
Hello everybody a friend of mine bought his first heli and has some problems with it, I hope you can help me out on these forums. He bought it from RC711.com website, it is ESky Belt CP (EK1H-E013FA) and Futaba 7C 2.4Ghz with R617FS reciever. They sell it as ready to fly, tested etc. He needed to attach the reciever, but everything else was already assembled, so we assumed, that very little is needed to get it to "working" state.. just the calibrations needed etc..
Well.. almost everything is working fine, all servos are behaving like expected, but the motor wont start rotating under any circumstance, full throttle and nothing, servos moving nice when pushing full throttle, but motor standing still, we are absolutely new to this, he spend alot of time studying and setting up the transmitter. We tried to connect a servo to the channel where the ESC should be and the servo behaved the way it should, nicely reacted to the amount we pushed the throttle, so we are assuming that the futaba trasmitter and reciever are working correctly. Anybody has an idea what should we try to do to get it working? somebody with some experience with the same heli/tx-rx setup? Thanks for all help in front |

I think you need to reverse the throttle channel for a Futaba radio. There's also a safety feature that prevents the ESC from arming if throttle is not zero, so make sure the stick is at bottom and throttle trim is down. Test this with the blades off for safety. Once the ESC has stopped beeping, you should have normal throttle function.

Take a look at the CCPM setup videos here.
CCPM part 1 & 2 will show everything he needs to get the servos working in the right direction and the swash mix too, this is what will need adjusting after changing servo directions to ensure that the head moves up when throttle applied.

You're welcome, but it is really Finless Bob that deserves the thanks, without his videos a lot of us would not have the knowledge we have!
