90 sized engine for first Nitro
I'm trying to figure out which engine to use for my first nitro build, an NX7. I've narrowed it down to either a ys91srx or os105hzr. Is this down to a Chevy vs Ford discussion or is one of them actually easier to tune, maintain, longer lasting, more forgiving...

I think a little of both. But either will make a fine plant for that NX7. Easier might be the OS105. OS Engines are just traditionally easier to tune, at least for a number of guys. Certainly was for me. I have a fresh YS 91SRX, but don't have any experience with it yet.

OS engines up to 50 size...YS engines for 90s and 120s...just my opinion...

IMHO if youre new to nitro get the os...if you have someone at your field who knows the ins and outs of tuning then try the ys. I have an os55 for two 600 size helis great motor. I also have a ys91 tareq and a ys120srx...the 120 has been problematic for one reason or another the 91 seems to be great so far...If I had to do it all over again id stick to os..just because its more forgiving to newbies
