Default BINDING DX6i

Hi Everybody, Sorry for having to ask again but I must have not have printed the answer before and have to have DX6i repaired and don't remember how to bind the tx.to my MCX. I would appreciate the answer and I promise to write it down in case this ever happens again. Bob

Step one: put bind plug in RX (very top, I think it's called data or battery port)

Step two: turn on RX (orange light should be flashing)

Step three: hold bind lever while turning on tx, keeping holding till orange light stays solid, release lever.

Step four: remove bind plug

Then I always power down everything and then turn on to confirm bind was complete.

Mcx does not have bind plug. Power up heli, it will flash red led. Hold bind button down on back of radio then turn on radio while holding button down until MCX goes solid red. Will
take anywhere from a few seconds to 10 or 15 seconds.

Your right, the MCX doesn't have a bind plug but the DX6i doesn't have a bind button and it must have been easy or I wouldn't have been able to do it. (real dummie) Bob

It's the trainer switch you're looking for.

Thanks comatosed, I remember now I had to use the trainer switch when binding it but not sure when or how. Bob

1: Set the model up in your dx6i.

2: Turn off your dx6i whist that model is selected.

3: Put helicopter in bind mode.

4: Pull and hold the trainer switch, then switch on the tx, keep holding the trainer switch until you see the lights on the helicopter go to what they should do.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'll have to send in my TX for a bad rudder trim slide switch. When I get it back I'll have to rebind it as I'm using the TX that came with the helo. Bob
