Great comparison photo's, thanks. It has a long boom!
Well as a point of clarification, the link broke because I was trying to adjust the length without taking it off the ball first. User error, not kit error.

The X7 looks longer to me.

Nevermind, I guess you mean the X7 is vertically shorter, but the boom is longer. Got it.

Default broken ball link

Isnt one reason for the turnbuckle to be able to adjust the length w/out popping the linkage?

It was the servo to swash link on the elevator.

What's funny is that my Synergy E7 is quite a bit larger and almost 2 pounds lighter ready to fly than Robs X7. My E7 is 10.2 pounds ready to fly with 2 Hyperion 4200mah packs in stick form.

The X7 is a solid bird, it can obviously handle the weight, it is just so surprising that it is the smaller and the heaviest. And I challenge anyone to question the crash ability of the Synergy. I beat mine up badly.

My build so far..5000 turnigy packs barely fit.Had to push the pack all the way back. Canopy is very narrow upfront. I dont use the front canopy mounts, just epoxied the fronts into canopy.I left my motor wires out so I can easily unplug and work on heli( Might hide later like everyone else). Debating on doing custom length servo wire with crimper. My X650 with stretched boom will be done tomorrow. .

Turnigy packs are some of the largest packs on the market.

It looks like the packs may fit better if they were turned wires up or down instead of in??

Family Photo! Here are all of my 50+ birds. Now all I need is a nice day to fly
Significantly shorter is awesome, this thing has such high CG, its nuts. I flew mine today, I can't believe how it flies. I would have never imagined something this big would fly with the agility of my X5. I'm waiting for the video that was taken, then I'll post it.

Any of you lucky guys got a T-Rex 600 Pro you could take a couple of snaps next to?

Would like to get a sense of scale. The X7 strikes me as quite a small looking 700 and just wanted to get a couple of pics against a known reference!

Cheers!

Can't help you with a 600. But I had it next to a 7HV today. It was about 1/2 inch lower at the head block and 3/4 longer from rotor button to tail shaft.
