Default Dragon Link works with 14mz or any PPM module

it took some reading and a little playing around but I got it
Dragon Link or any ppm based module will work with the 14mz

you just have to setup the trainer port in the 14mz correctly and make a special cable or buy one and any ppm based module will work

Default 14MZ to DMS

I just saw your video on getting the Futaba 14MZ to work with Dragon-link. Thank you for the help, as it works great now. The question I have, is where did you get the DSM2/DSMX transmitter?
Thanks
Joe

This is the guy I got it from
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1836517

you could get the orange version and use it also depending on what you really want it for
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_Module.html

you might have to re-assign some of the channels but on the 14mz its so easy to do that its no big deal
if you have access to a 3d printer you might check this out
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:109164

even if you dont you can order it printed from them I believe. Not sure what the cost would be

Thank you for the info. I do have a 3D printer. I should try it out.
I was flying my FPV multirotor yesterday with the dragonlink on my 14Mz, and every now and then as I fly, the receiver does back to natural. I used to fly dragonlink with my Jr 10X with no problem. Did not know if you came across something like this.

I have not had this problem
do you have your 14mz set to student 8ch and not 12ch
I have notice if I set it to 12ch I sometimes get undesired affects
also what is your power source for the dragon-link

That is interesting. I have mine on 12ch as I use 12ch for my camera ship. I am also using a 2S lipo for my power source. Wonder if there is a way to make 12ch reliable.

did you have it set to 12ch when you bound the receiver to the dragon link system
I personally have never needed over 8ch's as of yet
maybe if you change the freq that its at on the 14mz
I would have to look deeper into it

did you have to disable your rf to get the 14mz to work with the dragon link
