Default one way bearing/sleeve problem?

I'm finding new problems after a flip over last weekend. After checking the main shaft (seems straight) and putting a new main gear on, I noticed that there was a little play in the gear... grabbing the edge, I could move the edge up and down a bit (basically tilting the main gear). As I do this, the head slowly rotates each time I tilt the main gear. I thought maybe the bottom of the shaft was bent, so I took it out and with just the gears (both) and head on the shaft I can hold the gear to a flat table and spin the shaft and it spins perfectly straight.

Am I correct in assuming the one way bearing is tweaked? Its odd because everything seems to fit snugly together. Should there be any play between the main and auto gear (horizontally)? I already have a new one way assembly on order, but won't get it until next week (tomorrow if I'm lucky).

Just wondering... I have no idea if it did this before the crash, but I would doubt it.

Thanks

-David
