Which way is it spinning?

Are you using the original factory radio?

Have you connected the yellow wire from the gyro to the 5th channel bank on the RX?

Are you at full throttle when it is spinning?

Some questions to get this started.

I fOrget what way I'll check tomorrow, it use to spin one way then if I moved the trim one click over its would spin really fast the other way, yes factory radio, I'm probably getting a dx8 next week though, not recently but I thought it might so I tried it with it plugged in but no help, it doesn't matter how much throttle

Try screwing the pot in the bottom of the ESC clockwise, quarter of a turn and see if it changes anything. Also wheres ur gyro set? Make sure its around 60% at least.

Maybe the new tail motor is bad? Rather it be that than the esc....

Is it continuously spinning or are you spooling, seeing it spin like 90-180 degrees and killing throttle? Can you hear the tail motor engage at first? Definitely would go over setting up the 2-in-1 and gyro, would take the gyro out of the equation and get the tail working against main motor torque first. If it doesn't matter how much throttle, have you had it up to midstick?
