Default Warranty Work...

Hello, everyone. I am at a loos of words and wondering what to do...

To make a long story short. I had to send back my Hitec X-2 400 charger after having it only a few short months. I was very pleased to find out 6 days after sending it off Hitec decided to replace it free of charge.

Well, this is where my luck ran out. After speaking to them on 4/9/14 they said they were out of stock and I'm looking at the end of April for them to be in stock again.

Well, I've patiently waited all the month of April and decided to call today. I was told the stock was still zero. Therefore, I still have to wait for them to get some more X2 400s. When I asked the expected date they told me 3-4 more weeks from now...

Is this the norm for hitec warranty service? Spring is just starting to ramp up and I don't have another charger. I did have a friend loan me a 50 watt charger but the current charge time is 2 hours for a 6s 5000!

I'm at a loss and I don't know what to do...

Can hitec get Tower Hobbies (where I originally purchased the product) to send me a replacement and then Tower and Hitec deal with the reimbursement? I can't wait another 4 weeks. That's half of the summer!

What are your thoughts?

I'm not mad, they are replacing it free of charge. However, I am disappointed...

Tower is probably out of them too. No this not normal for stock levels but there just now catching up from the Chinese New year. The chargers are made in China but all the radio's and servos are made in the Philippines

Just got off the phone with the sales manager at hitec USA. 5065s just came in today so you should be seeing a servo or word in the next or 2. The chargers came in yesterday so the replacement should be out in the next day or 2. Hope this helps you guys out

Using the Hitec 4440 HPP 21 Digital programmer what setting should I set the overload protection for a HS-5065mg servo to prevent burn out? I'm going to buy one as I think it will be helpful.

Just got my replacement today. About 1.5 hours ago. Brand new with different packaging than before. Kind of afraid to max out the charge amps as i was before when the last incident occured. I'll give hitec one more shot at the charger game. Expecting it to hold up this time. Thanks!

sent my Hitec X2-400 in and got it back working just as if nothing ever happened to it . I have a habit of gradually creeping the c rating closer to the packs rated max . I had this charger for quite some time with hundreds of charges on it . ill be taking better care of it this time . just would like to give Hitec a thumbs up for fixing it even though I`m pretty sure the warranty was out .
