Here is my mCPX-TDR

Proheli.de TDR canopy
Microheli XL alu boom
Black drinking straw to make the boom look in proportion

Love the way it looks and flies.

Maybe boom stays and a TDR style landing gear might be added later

I started by taking the stock canopy, building clay around it and then pouring plaster into it, then i sanded it down and carved at it until it looked like i wanted. the plastic is polystyrene and built the platen out of wood and peg board and jammed my shop vac into it. towards the end of this thread: https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...ght=indoorheli he gave me some good pointers. Good luck!

This is a great thread, some really innovative and clever ideas - I have moved some of the OT stuff to the OT forum

Finally decided to try a 120sr tail, which fit my older aluminum tail boom that I used before I switched to solid cf rod =] I dont crash too often so I dont expect the tail to get bent too much. And if I need to raplace the boom, its only like 5$.

This should take care of that pesky tail blowout :p.

I ordered a few cf rods to make my own booms, strangely I haven't been able to break one of ny tailbooms yet. That's strange considering the hollow stock ones break on me anytime the tail blows out and I crash.
