Default Lynx Pinion

Hilarious - New build and during maiden the solid lynx 16T pinion comes loose on the shaft at idle-up. Now I had that pinion locked-down tight on the shaft with two 90 degree setscrews with Locktite on them. Of course that was this summer, and today was 40 deg. Wonder if temp change had anything to do with it. Might have to put a shaft flat on.

Luckily soft auto and no damage.

But why after even all these years I still have a series of "oops" moments with practically every heli build I do. I do think with helis there are just a lot of moving parts literally and figuratively. This hobby of mine gives meaning to the phrase "it's always something!"

You need to put the flat(s) on the shaft for it is grip properly.

I use the solid pinions - nice to have a maintenance free solution but I would prefer to have the OWB still
