I too went with the CC 10A bec. 10grams, less if you cut down some of the overly long wiring that's not needed on the 250. Not one problem since.

3GX with digital servos is a power hungry pig.
Where would I find the connectors to cut down the wires on all the electronics on my trex 250?

Are you talking about the servo wire connectors ? If that was what you were asking then you can find them in ebay for cheaper price. I also buy them from Pololu.com: http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1930

You can try servocity too but their price are higher. If you are going to make you own servo connector, you need to buy the crimp tool too.

Make sure you buy PLENTY and practice 30-40 times. Make sure you get consistent good connections before you start hacking down the wiring on your heli. Hate to see you end up on the "safety pictures" thread for chopping yourself up crashing it into you because of a bad connection.

But I will say it sure makes wiring a bit easier to route in such limited space. Don't go TOO short tho. If you decide you want a different wiring config and you're too short then you make a bigger mess with jumpers and crap. Better to err on the too long than too short. (Been there, got the Tshirt)

+1 on the "not too short". Otherwise, you may have to open up the servo to solder in a new long wire

I reuse the old connector. It is very easy to do. When you look at the connector, you should see the 3 metal pins along with 3 small plastic tabs. These 3 small plastic tabs are there to stop the metal pins coming out of the connector. All you have to do is to use a small pick to lift these plastic tab up a little bit. Then pull the pin/wire off the connector while holding the tab up. Please DO NOT life the tab too much otherwise you will break the tab and old connector cannot be reused.

If you don't want to do this, just use new connector housing.

How cool! I just tried it on an old burned out servo, works perfect. Life is good!
I sure hope this hell flies great, I'm tired of fixing my 130x every other flight.

Did the crimpers come from USA or Hong Kong? Last time I ordered from them it took 3 weeks on the slow boat from China....

Default Question about Trex 250 Pro DFC Battery

Why don't you just use double sided tape. Here is what I did.

Default Question about Trex 250 Pro DFC Battery

I also added this to the lower half to tighten the frame for the gyro plate. The part was off my 500 cone TT gear box.
I cut it to fit.

maybe no one has tried it, make a model of it up to the correct dimensions and try it!

I'm running the nano-tech 850mAh packs and the canopy can be pretty tight. I can't say for sure as I haven't tried one, but I think that would probably be too long to fit.

I use Thunder Power 1350mah on my 250's and get and extra 45 seconds of flying time. The way you get them to fit is mount them with the battery wires toward the top of the heli, not the bottom. The stock canopy is very tight but works, and if you buy an EX canopy they fit normally. You can also drill the hole for the canopy mount back a little farther. I also use the Pulse 850's, but I like the flying time that I get out of the TP 1350's .
