Both Mikado's web site and ReadyHeli's site list CURRENT combos as having the Silverline. BUT...when the 800 first came out, the combos had Bluelines, as the Silver line wasn't in the market at that time.

You may have an older kit, or...if the kit looks like it had been opened and gone through, someone along the line might have pulled a fast one.

I did mail to mikado and asked what to do..

If someone did a swap i am toast, isnt it so that these vbars are especially programmed for the xxtreme?

Your not toast (So don't worry about that) You would just have to email Mikado with the V-Bar serial number and they would authorize it for the XXtreme upgrades.

Besides, Kyle has yet to upgrade to an "XXtreme" V-Bar. Still using the standard stuff on the 700 and 800. The special versions are kind-of icing on the cake, but the standard stuff flies really well as is .

Why not upgrade after all this time. Kyle is so happy with how his machines fly, that he doesn't want to change a thing. Or...just too lazy. Not sure which .

As for the build, should i just follow the manual or do you reccomend Reading specific articles here or at milado's first?

The only change between silver and blue is the sensor (The sensor is more vibration resistant and arguably a little more precise)

If it bothers you you can probably just buy the silver line sensor and be done with it.

Should i pay extra attention to something, like something one of you guys forgot ?

How about this governor soft start issue? is that really bad? But that would be something to ask somewhere else right?

You can update your v-bar to the newer version. The soft start is then better. On the update screen, there's a special xxtreme version for you if you have the xxtreme v-bar.

The soft start issue has nothing to do with the VBAR, It was in the ESC and the newest software versions fixed that I just got mine back and it has that software as well as the 16s upgrade and it is a BLAST!!!!

I have the newest and I still have a small kick

I just pre-spin the blades

Also, have your blade holder bolts pretty tight, or even the small kick might tip over the Heli when the blades folds in response to the small kick.

It's easy smaller than it was though, it used to be pretty big,

Is the number of the version written on the ESC?

There has only been two versions of the ESC so far

Early allows using progcarx to set ESC values. Later one, some if not all of the ESC parameters are locked and cannot be changed using the program card

There is an update for both, sent it back to mikado and they will fix the problem with the ESC failing to spool up. If yours won't spool, it needs to go back

The ones that won't spool will usually spool up if you shut down throttle, wait a minute and try again. Mine does this sometimes, I have not sent it back yet.

Requires a hardware tweak and perhaps software too, I don't know.

I don't know but it's possible they are shipping this fix with the latest

See the xxtreme forum at vstabi.info for details. You need to register to get into this forum. See the yellow sheet that came with the Heli for details on registering
