Default Kasama Head

Dropping a complete Kasama Head into Raptor 90SE will there be a major difference in flight characteristics, quicker response --on line with the newer 90's ??

Also I am looking for a Video of a 90SE with Kasama Head

Hey armedforces (And thanks for your service ) Here are a couple of links you may want to look over before you start your Kasama build. This was started by the pilot that you see in the video.

1) Kasama build thread:
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=75618

2) Flying with the Kasama:
jim's raptor 90 (8 min 48 sec)

You will see the difference with rolls and flips and a quicker all over all cyclic response. I will also tell you that if you crash this thing, your wallet ain't gonna be too happy. It can be a real bugger to get the flybar out, and you may have to replace the see-saw if you do. It is a very solid and high quality piece of equipement and gives the Raptor a very solid and contoled feel to it, and if you are an experienced flyer...You will love it Good luck with the build, get home safe to your family, and good luck with your Raptor.

Badger50,
Hey thank you for response and yes we are very close of coming home I can't wait . With this said I use to have a raptor 50 titan, sold it. However, upon return I will be purchasing a the new Raptor 50 TITAN SE and after I master all the 3D and become a smooth pilot I will be getting the 90SE. The reason for all the questions I had a very difficult decision making between Raptors and T-Rex helis. But even tho Raptor is an old platform I will go with it two reasons, it has been proven to be a very well build heli, it can be mod it to fly just like a T-Rex 700 or better and lastly wife loves how the Raptor looks LOL .

O and props to you for not jumping on the T-rex fad, all the guys I know with raptors are selling thier raptors to get t-rexs after they get them, they wish they hadn't!!!

My R90 with the Kasama head did the funky chicken for a few dozen revolutions. End result was $120 in damage. For another $60 I got a whole new Kasama head from GrandRC @ $179.99

If you can spare $200 bucks, I highly recommend this head along with the hardened Kasama 520mm flybar. :YeaB aby:

The Align DS620s and they kick but and take names!

I also just killed ANOTHER JR DS8900G tail servo. Yup, I replaced it with an Align DS620 too and it works just fine!

What do you guys think of the JR DS8717HV servos?
Also JimLerch what gyro are you using? (cause I just bought the JR G7703D/S8900G servo/gyro combo, and wondering if I should just ebay the servo, and get a align or try my luck with that one?)

Hey Jim: With regards to the Kasama 520mm flybar, does it have recessed cut out areas that line up with the flybar contol arm set screws that give the proper "droop" angle? Or is just rounded throughout the entire length of the bar? The reason I'm asking is, have you ever tried taking the flybar out of the see-saw? The burs that are created by the the conrol arm set screws make it darn near impossible to get through the bearings on the see-saw. Or do you have a secret Jim "The Engineer" method of avoiding this painstaking effort . Thanks in advance buddy
