I like the gear in black but getting the set screws to go in is hard so i used a knife to open the hole a little bit and used a drill bit and when i tightened the set screws on the skid pipes they wouldn't tighten. anyone know what size set screw should be used i am using the stock set screws that can with the stock skids and had no problem. also the set screws seem to be to long because they stick out. Any Help

use the stock 500 grub screws......they are not meant to get tight, just snug enough to hold the skid in place.

Superbob,

The stock grub screws will work. The material is unlike the original landing gear which is soft and brittle and very easy for the set screw to grab and start a thread. The miracle dragon material is hard and at the same time flexible. That is why we recommend installing the set screws first before installing the gear into the bottom plate. I read you have already removed some material. Just use more force to get the screw started. One good locking turn is enough to stop the skids from rotating. The grub screws on mine is also sticking out. If I wanted to hide it I will not use the grub screws and just put ca on it or I will drill a hole straight into the skids and locktite the screw for good measure

Let me know how I can help. Send me email direct at sales@rcrotros.com.

In response to Superbob's experience, we have drilled a larger hole for the grub screws that locks the skid pipe. It shouldn't be a problem screwing those stock grub screws in from now on.

In other news, we welcome GrandRc.com to be our first dealer here in the US. They will be getting their first batch of this new product by tomorrow.

Any idea if these will work on the Atom 500 frame? I've not seen a T500 in person to compare how the gear attaches.

No they will not. The Atom uses a completely different mounting style.

Quick Question... Does this fits to a Logo 500 heli ? I just received them (thanks you rubbersoul).... but as I'm selling my TREX... I want to keep them for my next heli which is the logo 500

They look great, really nice yellow color....

They will be too small for the 500 in my opinion. Trex500 swings 425mm blades. Logo 500 swings 500 and most use 550mm blades. It really is a much bigger heli than the T500... So I think the gear will be too small for a logo500.

Just did my first couple flights with the new landing gear. Works great, i am much more comfortable to do some more advance auto's with the 500 because i know if i screw up the landing gear will absorb the bumps.

I have to disagree on this one, Gorilla will hit the market very soon and will blow everything else away as usual

Hey Brian,

Sorry about your lockout yesterday. All the adults were rooting for you to give us a good show . I didn't have a chance to take a look at your landing gear as I was already preparing to leave.
