Default tarot xyz mod

okay so in search of a better gyro for my v120d02s
i fitted a cheep tarot xyz gyro

these is only the start of the project and i haven't even tested it properly
because of rain

only in door tuning seems to b fine
less stable then walkera gyro in a hover obviously (no 6 axis)
but it got pyro comp so pirouetting is allot more stable
also it doesn't self level witch i hate any ways' ...

heli spec
lipo : http://www.hyperion-world.com/produc...35-0500-2S-UMX
ESC: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html
motor: http://www.xtreme-production.com/xtr...oducts_id=1644
pinion: 8t
gyro : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...m_Adapter.html
reciver: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Sat_Port_.html
servos: http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...servo-EFLRDS35

hers sum picture sorry for the bad quality it's a cheap cell phone camera....
over all layout of wiring and comp positioning ... http://s9.postimage.org/8uphyrdin/20...6_03_33_25.jpg
as u can c i remove'd the plastic's off the gyro and RX they r 5g heavier then
the walkera RX without them and allot more with them
ESC is in the back to keep the CG in the right place ....

receiver and gyro mounting http://s2.postimage.org/m5ftxsdmx/20...6_03_33_48.jpg
http://s2.postimage.org/y9v3erqix/20...6_03_34_34.jpg
as u can c the RX fit's between the lipo mount and the gyro mount
and the gyro is in the walkera RX place so 0 modifications to the frame

servos mounting
http://s8.postimage.org/3rtvs2451/20...6_03_34_04.jpg
original mount for the ds35 fit's perfect on the walkera servo mount
as for the cyclic they r smaller then the walkera one's so i use 2 sided M3 tape
i don't know it it's strong enough as i seyd these is just a sloppy install
i can take about 5 grams out of it with soldering the RX to the gyro
instead of using connectors etc ...
just wonted to c haw a full scale gyro Handel micro heli , am planing to buy SK540
for these bird if all goes' well

ill keep u up to date about the final setting's and better ways' ill find to implement
it in the next month i guess

Are you using the zyx-s or zyx?

Also, what firmware version are you running? I'm using 3.50 and it's solid as a rock.

Gaui 200, as well as several others.

I noticed a slight increase in stability upgrading to 3.5, but the pyro compensation update found within the 3.5 is really great.

I probably should have taken that into consideration though, being a 120 size , they're naturally unstable...

well for now am using advance setting's and cyclic PID is P=95 I=100 D=0
ill setup D and P well probably go down since D make P over shut normally
lake i say only started to setup the setting's am guessing PID on 200 is
way way lower should b around the 60's am gussing ...

smaller airframes r much more demanding of gyros the speed is insanely higher
it's not that they r less stable then bigger one's but the gyro response time
need to b much faster then on a bigger heli witch roll and pitch slower

okay dune abut 20 flight's so far in hight wind and all it's solid as a rock
i optimized the PID settings using small amount of derivative instead of a hight P
and got more responsive in decelerations
cyclic PID
P=56 I=125 D=8
tail PID
P=30 I=125 D=15
happy with the resolute , am after a better 3g controller with logging and governor
am considering sk540 or vortexVX1 both looks real good vortex seems smaller in size ...

aye but am obsessive with thees size i barely fly my trex 500 dfc any more lol's
so my hobbies budget is focusing on building the ultimate 120 bird
am considering buying a 3d printer instead of the better 3g and design my own chase
and maybe sum nice scaleheli's on that size
ether that or the new controller is next on to buy list

Hello jeblesh,

saw your P/I/D values and that the V120 was actually flying with the ZYX stabi.

What are your tail gyro gains on ZYX-s (1) + transmitter? Or is it s2?

Have you had any other tail rotor blades (e.g 30mm carbon instead of 32mm stock plastic)?

I was playing around with ZYX (not ZYX-s) in 2013 and with the stock WK03-4 servo I could not get over 12-14% HH gyro gain

Some other pilots wrote the same even for Trex250 ZYX setups.

Are you maybe in any HH 52-70% gyro gain TX range (90-100% ZYX in PC setup slider open)?
That would be my goal (as with 450er heli 52-56% without waggings.

How well does your tail work outdoor with a little wind?

My 12-14% tail didn't hold well.

WK03-4 poti died - vibrations in mid servo stick...

I may re-try with Spektrum DS76T at 0.03sec/60degree@5V (2s BEC).

Is this the final V120 FBL (DSMx) solution besides microRondo: EZNov Neuron FBL?
