battery
no the battery is as far forward as possible. my tail blades are the stealth 62mm cf blades. are the weights on the tail grips necessary? I also have the longer 1300mah turnigy 6s 45/90c batts which are even worse because their center is further back when placed as far forward as possible.

Im not running the weights on mine atm. they were to help take some of the forces out of the tail at higher rpms. i would try taking them off and seeing how it balances.

The point Mike raised is the key one. It comes down to the pack weight. If the heli was intended for heavier packs, then we may need to go that direction.
I expect this model to weigh more than a typical 450, because it's not a typical 450 at all. The 350mm blades generate a different disk loading. I think most of these 1300-1350 mah packs are lighter than the target weight. My Thor are 225g/ea. I will be watching for a couple of the heavier packs, but I don't expect the Thor to be a real issue at all.

Official Warp 360 COG Video
So what's the conclusion here guys, apart from mounting the battery the right way and far enough forward.
Chubby packs or long packs, which work best? Dave, have you tried batteries of different weight? If so can give us a hint of how it flies on different weights. Not with regards to COG specifically, I was thinking more in general. Great video btw. A camera usually stiffens up people a lot but it looked natural. Did you guys rehears? |

i have personally found longer packs to balance better. my gens ace 1200s are on the light side and sit really tight under the canopy with the scorpion motor.
as far as bigger packs goes i tried some 2200s today and i was actually really impressed with how it flew. im going to play with more packs these size as i really liked the flight times and characteristics of how it flew. this was with the scorpion motor and i think it can handle the heavier packs better. have not tried 2200s with the stock motor.

Pulse is way bigger by the looks so must be a good deal more weight in them. CG is probably closer to the boom with them back/down further than the turnigy too. Keen to try. Quote:
My heli will NOT balance with everything touching the canopy, but I'm running lighter packs than recommended so have never complained about it! I'm sure its fine with the weight packs recommended. Seems the trick here is the lighter tail end too. Lighter blades and no weights. This video really should have been done with a stock kit. But thanks for posting it anyway. ___________________________ Sent via Android, Tapatalk. 7HV, Atom, Warp, |

My heli balanced just fine with my 1300mah 30C Blue LiPo (224g)... They are the 'chubby' type. The packs just barely hang past the nose of the frame, leaving plenty of room under the canopy. I am using a CC ICE 50 Lite, CC BEC pro (under the RX tray) and an AR7200BX. I did the math comparing the weight of these components vs. a Kobe 40 or YGE 40 and the total is about the same. That being said... I don’t understand why some people are having such a hard time balancing this heli... what am I missing?
