V-Bar governor autorotation bailout + Mezon
I'm using a V-Bar plus Jeti Mezon ESCs on my helicopters. I have enabled the autorotation bailout on the V-Bars.
I'm a bit in doubt whether I should also enable autorotation on the Mezon. The V-Bar bailout kinda works with Mezon bailout disabled; spoolup is faster than without, but it's still a bit slow to my taste. I suspect that the Mezon still spools up slowly, even if the V-Bar tries to spool up faster. However, I'm not convinced that I should enable the Mezon bailout. The Mezon requires a bailout throttle hold signal slightly above 0%, but the V-Bar obviously doesn't know anything about this. Perhaps I should enable Mezon bailout and re-adjust the throttle range from the V-Bar so that the minimum value matches the Mezon "bailout" throttle value. On the other hand, then I don't know if the Mezon will arm as it will never see it's true 0 value. Any thoughts...? |

Re: V-Bar governor autorotation bailout + Mezon
Buildin mezon bailout can not work with vbar because you can never get the required % thr output to trigger it.
On my X7 mezon bailout is fine, a flying buddy also uses the mezon and bailout works fine on his machine also. Did you set acceleration to 9s? Also do you have idle on bailout on?

The combination Mezon and Vbar gov is very reliable and the bailout is very consistent, (as apposed to the YGE 160Hv where the spool-up time was quite variable). In this vid you can see the Bailout at work:

Idle on bailout is off. That's cheating If I enable it, spoolup is super quick. Mine is a bit slower than that. It's faster than initial spoolup, but still a bit slow. Sent fra min GT-I9505 via Tapatalk |

I checked now. My acceleration is 3.1s. Given that the V-Bar takes care of the initial soft spoolup, perhaps I should decrease this?

Re: V-Bar governor autorotation bailout + Mezon
The idle is the problem. It's not cheating. It's very hard on the esc to have it off.
