Default Found the issue

Ok this may sound stupid and it kinda was on my part,
Guys don't put any dir or expo in your transmitter,
as a matter of fact don't change anything input wise in the transmitter after setup. The 3gx will see this as an input and compensate for it,you will know this is happening if the 5 lights below the stat and gov lights start flashing.
lesson learned. i thank god it was not an expensive lesson....no crash

I put D/R and Expo in my Tx after set-up, but no flashing at all on 3gx.

I would suggest it may actually be a power issue to the 3gx. Are you running a bec or a 2s lipo?

Same here, the 3gx doesn't offer bank switching so I use d/r on my iu1 setting and expo on iu2 never had any issues. I agree with the post above about the power interruption.

All 5 lights flashing = loss of signal

Made some fail-safe and rx/servo power tests yesterday. I got all 5 lights flashing when I turned off my tx and then turned it back on. Measure your voltage drop under load, remove main gear, attach a voltmeter and give fast cyclic input, see what it does.

+1 You likely had a power dip. It may not have been enough to cause you to loose signal at the Sats.

I would also check the cables to the Sats just to make sure there isn't a break in the wires.
