Default mcx lipo life?

What kind of use is anyone getting out of the little 1s lipos for the mcx?

I don't think I have more than 30 cycles each on the two I have and the flight times are down to 2 minutes. Seems they died rather soon.

unlike Bob... I can answer ya... OK... fly that sucker to LVC... if it hits LVC around 2 mins... land... then spool it back up and fly until it hits LVC again....then charge it... you'll find that it suddenly has a longer flight time... that and buy a couple of the Tenergy 130mah batteries... I get 8-9 minutes easy out of a charge.. more than enough time to get bored with it...

I thought the weight savings - 1.2 lbs - would make up for the lack of amperage.

Maybe I'll try some solar cells on the blades?

Thanks mystic. Figures. After I trained myself to never go past LVC after frying my first lipo on my first honey bee fp treating it like a nicad.

And in the instructions with the mcx they say to always store them fully charged...???

if you are having the problem with all your lipos on the mcx it might not be the lipos. there is a mod to solder the wires on the battery connector. they are just crimped and get high resistance.....it causes all sorts of problems....one being short flight times.

google mcx solder mod...it should pull it up....if not let know and I'll find it...

Yes! Yes! Yes! Not only Yes! but Hell Yes! Damn. That was it. I was getting less than 2 minutes per each of two packs. Just did the solder mod and went 7 1/2 minutes on one pack. Yes!

I think tinning the pins probably helped also as they were corroded black.

Kisses for Mr. Dee. Kiss Kiss Kiss. Smooch Smooch

And hugs. I usually only hug and kiss girls but I am stoked. Stoked Stoked.

I was bumming as this is not only my odd orientation/backwards trainer but it is good 'gathering' entertainment around the table. My wife shows less than no interest in helis but sitting around with some guests she actually put out her hand for me to land on. Couldn't believe it!

Kiss Kiss. Smooch Smooch. Hug Hug.

PS

Kiss Kiss.

Mr. Dee......Beers on me.

On her own initiative. No prodding. She has never even seen my Hurri or the Little Wreckses fly. I have been doing this for over two years.

Let's see:

Mr. Dee. How do I appreciate thee. Let me count the ways.

In spite of what may be a strange brew of fellows I find a sedateness here that is greatly appreciated over other sites and forums.

Some of those people are so 'wrapped around the main shaft' it is actually unbelievable. And the anxiousness and intensity is just something I no longer appreciate.

To the Freaks - Hurri..........Hurrrah!
