Your advices, opinions and experiences are sought.

Hi, I finished building and had my maiden yesterday, very nice and smooth relaxing flights and does what 600SE does with great visibility in the air. Had few compliments in the flying field as well.

Thank you Abanihani.
Do you feel the additional weight whilst flying?
How was the installation and fitment?
And QC issues and what colour did you choose?

The quality of the fuselage is out of the world, the kit has all the needed components and I did not struggle at all putting things together. It is so light that I could not feel any added weight. I have both the white and the orange fuselage but using the white for now. I have a brand new orange fuselage and brand new converting parts to change the 600 to 600SE if you are interested. You van send me a PM. I will be posting photos shortly of mine.

How do you find visibility with the white and neon green against the white clouds ?

White is really very visible color in the sky, i had no issues at all and i fly very high and big sky movements. The orange will be even more visible.

What are the motor/ESC temps like?

I have the Pyro 700-45 and Jive 120 + heatsink for mine (orange fuse), just wondering do we need to put a fan on the Jive for some extra cooling. Winter flying temps in my area are cool but summer temps are regularly 35-45 degrees.

I'm yet to fly my 600SE for tuning before I install it in the fuse, been waiting for chargers to arrive.

Tommy, have you not bought an Uvular yet, what's taking you so long? I'm gonna try and make it to the speed cup next year, would be nice to have at least one other Uvular to go up against.

The Uvula is on back order from Mikado. The latest shipment to PerthRc from Mikado arrived yesterday without my Uvula.

The one thing I'm not keen on is the canopy screw, having to use a Hex driver to lock it down/remove. I'm getting a couple of knurled thumb screws made up that will protrude above the canopy screw hole just enough to get a good grip to seat the screw, but not so far as to look naff.

I'll post a pic when done, taking the fuse to the bloke next week who's gonna do it for me.

In the Uvular manual and pictures of Mikado team pilots, all seem to fly Uvular with SX lowered head and SX CB. Is this safe for speed flights?

yes but not for 3D, boom strike is always a concern. The fuselage extend beyond the frame anyway so there is not really much main shaft showing so why risk it

I am going to be installing this motor in it so I thought the CB from the SX setup will be better placed to handle the added power. This will be a dedicated speed run Heli.
I do know that Timo Wendtland has successfully ran the Uvular on 713mm blades and SX shaft as well.

Your one-way will be lucky to last 10 flights.

Why not buy a dedicated speed machine rather than trying to improvise with something not designed for what your trying to do.
