4g3 inverted hover video
Hey guys thought I would share a video of my first successful inverted hover today. It is flying much better with my new 20C oversky packs. I tried flipping it over once today and crashed - no damage. Then on the second try I got it... Man its so much harder on this heli than my rexy's

Good Job! What makes it harder on this heli? The power? The size?

Well part of it is the power - the brushed motors bog easily under big collective inputs (though it is much better now with the new batteries). Secondly and most importantly, because the tail doesn't hold like it would on a large pitch tail heli with a good HH gyro/tail servo. The tail was blowing out on me every time I gave a good amount of collective and as I was flipping. I am used to a locked-in tail on my large machines. Though I imagine this is improved with the faster brushless tail setups for the 4g3. Also these little helis are so much less stable than the big ones. For example - after flipping this heli over I feel like I could go make a sandwich while my trex 600 hovers itself inverted... Here's a video of my 600 to show you what I mean..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcGJp...er_profilepage (my buddy recorded this one for me last time we were at the field) Overall I am pretty happy with this little guy as I thought I would never be able to do any inverted with it. Its definitely a challenge and will keep me sharp this winter!

You can really see what I mean about the tail blowing out right at 1:21 in the video. You hear it bog and the tail blows almost 90 degrees. That was as I was giving it a lot of collective to stop its descent.

Thanks Amp! Looks like your 4g3 is flying great! Must be nice to use it with your Spektrum radio. I don't think I'll ever end up converting mine to Spektrum but thats a really cool setup.
