Kosmik - Bogsmik!
So I have been having power issues all season with my 700.
Originally thought it was packs but they flew awesome in my buds 7Hv with YGE/KDE. I am running Pyro 750-50 and KosKool 160 at ~2100 12S. I was previously running 14S with same issue. I don't have a log to post as it seems my card won't read but basically I am having some pretty signifigant head speed decay on simple moves like a climbing flip or even just a climb out. Seems pretty strong on fast passes though. I have my ID1 & 2 at 80%, ID has only about 10* pitch and is pretty much unboggable unless I am trying to while testing/tuning. ID2 at 12* is very easy to bog down head speed. Just shouldn't be the case with my setup. I have been tuning the Gov some and made some progress but still not where I think I should be. Last night I even upped P gain from 6- 8 then 10 with minimal improvement. Ri Comp is at .13 for this motor. I know K reps say tuning of this parameter should not be needed with Pyro but I am definitely not getting power I should on default. Any ideas where I should try tuning next, maybe fixed timing?

What governor mode are you in?
A log would be great,,, get a copy of sdformat.exe and reformat using that... Sometimes the cards just are shipped out in unusable state, I have seen this a few times Mode 4, should just work The other mode, governor store, I know if you don't correctly, do the first spool up (after you program the mode ) you will get some really really bad governing, One time I set thst mode, forgot about the rule, and spooled about 3/4 the way up and spooled down. A week later I spooled up thinking it was the first spool up.... Definitely suboptimal. Reprogrammed and all was well. Something weird is going on, i should govern quite really well with that motor without having to tune governor parameters... Maybe some fine tuning, The kosmiks I have seen ( that are on helis that are geared properly) have been incredible at governing.

Well, just got back in from two flights and think I got it licked. I did one more reset and only changed BEC and run up time and it is not bogging as before. I will play a little with Ri and P to see if I can squeeze some more but I am pretty happy now as it is. Wonder why a reset this time made a difference? I forgot to pop in a new card. Will for sure for tomorrows flights. Gearing is 7Hv Ult, 13/127.

Card is poop, PC won't even recognize it. As said in above post is pretty nice now, can only bog when I am trying to intentionally. For my regular routine is good. Going to add 1* pitch and see if it still happy.

If the problem was resolved after an ESC reset, why suspect lipos ?

If not this is a separate issue in itself and one that needs sorting!! The card is important in diagnosing issues. How old is the unit, whats the serial number??

Sdformat might make it recognizable to the pc and kosmic,
Though I have received totally unusable cards a few times.., from varying sources

My Kos is not affected by old hardware as you suspect. Ser is 484 if I remember correct. Also was sent in over the winter and converted to Kool Kosmik. How do I reformat it if my PC doesn't even register it is connected?

Lipo on first charge of the day usually not as powerful !
I have noticed on subsequent charges and flights the pack chemicals are settling in and start to work much better. but definitely would not cause those issue's with your Kosmik bogging ! same deal with vbar gov sometimes it needs to have a reset to flush out old stuff !
