Default Brushless Nano cuts out

Had something odd happen, wanted to get ideas from the community.

I have a Nano CPx with the HH brushless mod. I took it brushless several months ago.

My days of frequent crashes are long behind me and it's rare anymore that I even have a hard touchdown after a flight. My Nano is tuned and flies sweet--very stable in the air, rock steady, great little helicopter.

Which is why I was surprised when I was doing just some forward flight, nothing fancy at all, and the thing just fell out of the air. It seemed to be a power interruption...the light blinked out and it fell like a rock. I could hear the tones of the ESC initializing after it hit the ground.

It appears undamaged, but I am concerned--obviously not something I want to keep happening.

I am wondering if the battery is starting to go...that was close to the end of the 4-minute flight. Does this sound like a failing battery or some other issue?

All thoughts appreciated ... thanks!

Never mind, I posted this too quickly.

After another flight ESC lost power completely and wouldn't initialize. Found the white power wire to the ESC had broken away from solder pad on the ESC. After a little soldering, flies perfectly again.

Part of the reason this hobby is addictive to me: distressing when they break, but feels so good to fix them and see them fly again. <smile>

Thanks.
