Make sure those cycles on the batteries are similar when running them in parallel or in series. Something to do with damaging the lipos

Here's my first ever align heli bigger than a 450.
Latest 700e kit with : -kde thrusted bearing blocks -kde elevator bellcrank -kde reciever mount -kde motor mount -third mainshaft bearing block mod -quick uk hub and grips -quick uk magnetic canopy mounts -align carbon tail pushrod -align's newest headblock with the integrated swash driver mount -align alloy elevator servo mount -115mm edge tails -690mm sab fbl wide chord blades -pyro 700-45 with a 14 tooth -jive 80hv -8717's on cyclic -mks ds760 on the tail -v-bar 4.925 kg ready to fly with 12s 40c 4000mah, a full kg heavier than my logo 600se with the exact same components ! I built this 700e to use for short duration, pop and lock style smack though, something the 600se isn't as good at with it's lower headspeeds. |

Very nice!
Question about the Align head. I purchased one and on mine they only threaded the outside where the swash driver arms bolt to. That doesn't seem right to me, as there are slots cut in the bottom or the head which looks like that was meant to clamp down on the mainshaft when the bolts are tightened. Is yours that way?

Mine was that way too.
One would presume they would have intended those swash driver bolts to act as pinch bolts. Looks like a fail to me. It still is just as tight as the older head assembly, but they missed the mark they were aiming for, clearly. I'll probably throw the kde one on there instead. |

Either they did this on purpose, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, or they screwed the pooch. I went ahead and ran a tap through and threaded the other side and then drilled out the original threads. With longer bolts, it now clams like I think it was designed to do. There's plenty of thread as long as I don't go gorilla on the bolts. They only need to be snug anyway.

beautiful color scheme!!!!!!!
oh btw your cyclic servo links on the servo horns are incorrect. They should be 21mm apart and that ends up skewing the link rods towards each other not parallel like yours.

Thanks !
Those are quick uk's fbl specific wheels. 24.4 is recommended for fbl with the 700e, those are 24.4mm . The bellcrank end is roughly 29mm apart, so they're not really paralell. |

A few updated pictures
I got this scheme idea from Kyle Stacys vibrant green one, with my own colors and twist. This cano was done by "Sick Canopy" I also since last pics posting amd running the F3C front landing bow, elevating the tail nicely and a better agressive look as well IMO.
