Default $34 batteries for the E-Smart

I knew it, I bought one of the $34 Turnigy 18.5v 3000mAh batteries from hobbycity, and it gives 5 mins of basic flight without going below 3.7v per cell (ending voltage was 3.72-3.74v per cell) and some have no problems draining them further so you could prob get another min or 2 depending on how low you like to go. But again 5 mins basic flight without going below 3.7v per cell all for only $34

I'm thinking about ordering some batts from them.

How long did it take to receive the batt and how was the shipping?

Thanks,
Donnie D

Shipping is expensive from Hobbycity, but the prices are so cheap that it really doesn't matter!
I just got in two 5000ma 6s 15c batteries from them for $62 each. I figured that 75 amps was enough for the ES600. They run cool and I get 10 minutes of flying with them. I could push it farther, but I'm happy with that!
They also balance well mounted on the front tray.
Best,
Kent

The new turnigy's are really good batts. I recommend using the 25C or the 30C versions. They are a bit more expensive but gives better performance especially if you are getting into more advanced flying. I recorded spikes of 114 amps during punchouts in my heli so be careful with the 15C's.

114 amps!! WOW!

I sure didn't expect to hear that. Then yes, these 15c will have to be now used for milder flying.
I do have some 30c Turnigy 3300s that I also run in the 500. I'll run those for 3d stuff.
Thanks,
Kent
