Default Gyro channel changed

Hey Guys,
Has any one gone through this before !! Recently i upgraded my 14mz 72 freq to make it 2.4Ghz. I have couple of helicopters and i had to buy couple of 2.4 receivers to replace the old 72 ones. What i know is that the channels locations in the 2.4 receivers are the same so when i used the R607FS 7-Channel Futaba 2.4 Receiver, the Gyro channel was number 6 and when i used the R608FS 8-Channel Futaba 2.4 Receiver, the Gyro channel came out to be located in channel 5. Is that how it goes??? I set them up like that and i fly with no problem yet i wanted to know if this is normal with these 2 receivers!!!! and why when you upgrade the 14mz to be 2.4, there are two option when you use these receivers, so when you use the 7 Ch, then you should chose the 7ch mode in the Tx and when you use more the 7ch receiver then you should chose the multichannel mode in the Tx.
Thanx for any help guys

Default RE Gyro Channel

Hi there. As you already know about the set up for 7ch or Multi ch there is no need for me to go any further into this.
The difference is in the asignments of the receiver servo connections.
It follows a common layout with 7ch mode and changes with Multi ch mode.
The chart in the manual is confusing so i sipmly refer to the "Servo Monitor" screen and move the sticks and switches to determine which servo plugs into which socket.

Perhaps you already know about this and i have misread your posting on this issue.

Phil.
