!Torque tube wont fit in carbon boom. Anyone else had this problem?
hey guys got the torque tube and carbon boom a few days ago and i cant get my torque tube inside the carbon boom. it fits perfect in the stock booms, but when i tried putting in the carbon one it broke the glue loose on the middle bearing, so i had to ca it back and done the same thing the second time. i guess i could just pull it through with the rod half way then push the rod back and not glue it but i like it glued! so for now im just running the stock boom with the torque tube.so let me know if any one has got it in and how or is mine just a hair to small on the inside?

Here is what I do...
1) C.A the bearing on the TT rod, then put the rubber thingy over the bearing then spray some silicone spray on the rubber thingy... 2) spray the inside of the tail boom with a silicone spray..... 3) use the plastic tube that the TT rod came in to push the rubber thingy down the boom...... Job done just tighten all your screws up and off you go

mewsikman,
That is just what they say to do in the 600NSP instuctions; should work in a smaller application.

If you have a 450 use the tailboom to push the bearing in. Thats what I did and worked out great.

ok i got it. finally! got enough on it this time and went right in thanks guys! man changing the boom is so simple now that you dont have to take out the boom blocks just barley losen the screws and pull it out. nice upgrade. and the torque tube is super smooth compared to the belt.and also the align carbon boom is not a full carbon boom its a wrap with a aluminum core bummer but o well.

no thats 22 dollars extra. it comes with a stock boom. and if ur gonna use the carbon boom on the belt set up you might want to cut about 1 to 2 mm off the carbon boom because its just a little longer, and it has no adjustment when using it with a belt.
