Yep. Your case is different.

My grub screw is also in front of that 'U' recess but is half way between the end of the round lens housing sleeve and the most forward square front section of the camera housing. Pretend the U isn't there.

Did you have to extend the camera lead exit hole (rectangle) to get it to line up with the actual circuit board connector so the plug would go in?

You are using the wrong screws. Use the short ones for mounting the bracket.

Haven't got this far but it could be a point for me to check also. Thanks.
Once the camera is in position I will give it a drop from my hot-melt glue gun between the bracket and camera casing.

Trnquill,
I'm not using any screws right now. I just have them started for safe keeping. I had taken the case apart and removed the spacers, but the camera's front board didn't come out. It was then I noticed that the bracket scews were holding the board in. When I do get ready to mount the camera I know now that I've got to use the shorter screws, so thanks for that info.
Boombastic may have done the same thing and I think that was what he was saying that perhaps he also may have put the longer screws in.

I got a reply back from Range Video stating that the case is the correct case, but drilled in the wrong location. They will be sending me the correct case when they get it in.
They also said I could go ahead and drill and tap the case I presently have and keep it.

Good to see a positive resolution.
Before final assembly just make sure the video output lead lines up with the slot in the case. If it doesn't you'll see what I mean.

Just wanted everyone to know that I received my replacement case front, for my DX201 camera, from Range Video.
My original case was drilled and tapped in the wrong location preventing the setscrew from locking the lens, at its' focus point.

Nice to know! I recently lost my lens in flight and had to try out the DX201 stock lens with the case. And guess what: the set screw was WAY off. When picture was in focus, the lens was still several millimeters from hitting the set screw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JSPr_By91k

And a second thing: I had a crash with my FPV heli (sorry for jerks caused by crappy recorder and black corners caused by a 1/4" camera lens).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv8bZL8jVsE
After that there was black corners in the picture even with a proper 1/3" camera lens!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYUbWg4asi4
After fiddlin' around with the camera and the case I found out there's slack (or room for adjustment) between the case and the sensor PCB. One can move the PCB around the case for few millimeters. I had the PCB centered in the case but as the video shows this pushed the sensor off-center. I found out that I have to position the sensor PCB to upper right corner of the case in order to get rid of the black corners. I have no recollection if I did the adjustment when putting the camera to the case the first time, but I guess not. I was just lucky then.

Trnquill,
Thanks for that info. I will be making sure my PCB is positioned correctly for my sensor. On your last video, the altitude on your OSD got really crazy at times, any idea what happened?

It's not too accurate on any of my videos. For example in the first it jumps to -17 meters and back all the time. That's GPS altitude as EagleTree GPS Expander v3 and datalogger equipped with the latest firmware sees it. I have also the new Altimeter expander by ET but that's just crazy. It shows altitudes of 50000 meters etc. from time to time. So, my experience on ET + altitude measurement is not too good...

I don't know if the reason for crazy altitude readings is the sensor (GPS or altimeter), the datalogger or the OSD. The datalogger logs unbelievable altitudes (like 3000 meters), but I have never seen figures like I see on the OSD (50000m etc.).

I've also had problems with the EagleTree altitude readings. First, GPS altitude is never accurate. Is often off by +/- 100 feet or more. So I got the EagleTree pressure based altimeter. The altimeter is based on static pressure. So the altimeter needs to be out of the airflow of the main rotors or the propeller. On my heli, I mounted the altimeter on the bottom of the heli with the static port right up against some plastic on the undercarriage of the heli. Only then could I get accurate consistent altitude readings for the whole duration of my flights.
