There was another new member with his G-20 powered by the HWC G-20 engine with the V2 muffler, using the CN2517A FBL head and SK-540 control unit, out at the Ridge field today. It was purring along very nicely. He was pulling 1 1/2 degrees more pitch then I am on my stock Zenoah G-20 at an 1850 rotor speed with the Rotor Tech 640mm blades.

After seeing a G-20 equipped with the option al CCN2517AFBL head and the Skookum SK-540 at our field today, I may consider converting mine.

My G20 came with both a FB and FBL head. I can't fly well enough to tell the difference. I know the Beast X on my G20 holds the heli very level and stable in a pretty heavy breeze.

Going to the RJX FBL head and adding the SK540 absolutely transformed this heli Into a totally different beast altogether. SO much more response , there is no comparision to the HD flybarred head I had been flying with the two years prior. Love it! I wil post a new pic here soon.

Sorry, see the PM I just sent. I think I may have the wrong phone number for you as when I tried calling it I got the recorded message that the number was not in service.
I must have made a type when I entered it!! There was a new member at Ridge with a G-20LT powered by the HWC-29. He had it running very nicely, Are you planning to go to the Mission Heli event tomorrow?

Almost got to fly the G20 today, but our field was flooded and the alternate field is a park. I didn't want to fly anything bigger than my 450 and my quad. Maybe next weekend.

I had my G-20LT out at the Mission Heli Event for a couple of flights between rain showers on the weekend. Considering the forecasted rain, they still had 28 registered pilots.
Gyan, - nice to see you, sorry that your G-20 could not make it. I hope Hanson gets the engine back to you as sson as possible and that it will run properly this time. to tall - I thought we we see you there? Did the forecasted rain keep you away?

The rain stopped around 10:45 with two small 20 minute showers later in the afternoon, so many flights were made by all.

Thanks Phil; seems the crank on my engine was off center a bit but enough to screw with the case seals. It would account for the vibs I was getting. Al is installing a lighter piston, new seals & lining up the crank. Hope to get it back next week sometime. I'll let you know.

oops, sorry to tall. As I have been attending heli events almost every weekend (Spectrum, Mission and last weekend was Nanaimo), I just have not found the time. Are you going to the Kelowna event this coming weekend?
I will try to get at it later this week.
