Default A little help please.

So it's not a helicopter, but it does have blades, belt drives, and can cut the grass when upright as opposed to inverted, so there are a lot of similarities.

Had to do some repairs today, in order to bulldoze last years grass cuttings away, ready for the new crop, and found that I had damaged, and lost some of the following items.

The dimensions are in inches as it is a WheelHorse, which is an American machine, but it won't really matter as long as they are similar items.

In my ignorance I don't even know what these are called, so I cannot do a search for them on google. A simple thing, but if you don't know what to ask for?

Here they are:

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting, but to be fair there aren't many Belt-CP related threads in here anymore. I know I'm stretching a point, but I know you guys will be able to help.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Sutty

Andrew, for as far as my knowledge of Shakespeare's language reaches, they are called "retaining R clips" or "spring clips" (the latter being a general term, comes in many forms). But the first expression should help, I hope, just google it. CU buddy.

Yes indeed. R is the charm. Google works now. Don't know why I couldn't look at them and see that they were an R, but I couldn't.

Thanks pal.

Ordered a whole bunch of them, in 2mm, 3mm and 4mm varieties, delivered, for under a tenner. Just hoping the 4mm ones will not be too big for the 0.15" ones, as that is a little tight, as it works out at 3.81mm. No big deal though, taken a chance, if it doesn't work out, now I know what I'm looking for, I will get the imperial equivalent, or drill out the holes to 4mm.

Thanks again Raf.

Cheers

Sutty,

In automotive (UK) use, they are more commonly known as R-pins rather than R-clips, just FYI.

Not such a bad move to ask in a RC forum. On my RC Car these kinds of clips are used for holding the body on to the car. Or "canopy nuts" in heli speech.
