Default Do MKS servos require an external BEC

I've been running ds92a+s on cyclic and ds95i on tail.

Is the msh yge 60 up to powering these guys?

I went through this when I ran those servos and that ESC on my Warp 360 and then my Mini Protos when I sold the Warp. You may not get a cut and dry answer because a handful of guys will say they're running those servos just fine on a <3A built in BEC. Then there'll be others that tell you they had problems when they did it. But somewhere in HeliFreak, there is a post (I've read it, it does exist) from someone from MKS stating that those servos should be supplied with 10A continuous (not peak, but continuous) to operate properly. I decided to trust the MKS guy, and used a Gryphon 10A continuous BEC.

Then later, I took off the BEC and those servos and put on some plastic cased Futaba servos that definitely don't need an external BEC, and my mini Protos lost 4 ounces. Lol

The YGE BEC can probably handle more than 3A continious though.
I have been running KST 215MG with a ds95i tail servo for over 400 flights in my mini prôtos and it has worked fine (100 flights on the same setup on my X3 as well).
I tried to make them brownout in a bench test, mashing the collective as fast as I could, never manged to get a brownout.

I've only heard issues with the DS95 on the cyclic (they are faster and stronger than ds92a+ so use more current), and on 6S (6S is harder on the BEC than 3S).

I'd bench test the setup, and if you can mash the collective up and down (with pitch boost if you have that in your FBL) and not get a brownout, then you're good to go.

Don't know why but it seems you either brown out or you don't. It varies so much person to person its almost bizarre. Basically, if you aren't in the brownout group, you basically never brown out, while if you are in the brownout group, get the bec already. Test on bench and see how you fare. About the ds95 or the 92a+, I have felt like the 92a+s have more brownout stories, but that's my feeling. My 95s never gave me any trouble with any built in bec, but others have had them go nuts...If you run 5v, you should be fine. I heard some people who had brownouts at 6v with the 92a+ say that they fixed the problem by dropping to 5.2.

Oh, and I've used the YGE/ds92a+ combo (zero issues),

And DS430M/Talon 35

The talon has a much higher rating than the yge, but I get low bec voltage alarms (<4.5V if I try on purpose). Both setups have the same telemetry.

Interestingly i get low voltage alarms during things like power loops, not Piro tic tocs.
