As per the original question of this thread the jury is still out. You can do more with FM when the weather turns on you. FM seems to do more though. It works indoors and can be used on overcast days. It takes a bit of expertese to install and set up but it gets easier once you sort which servo goes where and does what. Don't expect to set it and not get drift, will need a few batteries of trim work both on TX and Helibal. CPII is easy a few steps and you are there, a couple of angle settings for Nornal (level flight) and a couple for 3D (inverted flight).

If you fly indoors, with lots of heavy overcast, and dont mind using you computer for set up go FM, I live in So CA ,lots of clear sky, no indoor flying , easy set up. I went CP2. they both do the same thing, just differntly.. Larry

Well I managed to get out to the back yard with my newly installed FM, was a bit gusty but any way on both counts Pos/Bal found myself fighting the heli constantly trimming to no avail at the end I thought it was easier to fly with FM switched to manual and even easier before FM was installed. There either is a lot of work tunning stil or less work taking it off and binning it. NO HANDS FREE HERE!yet

Well the quick answer is the gain is set to low. Did you reset the swash level and pitch range with the software after fitting FM ?. Ivor
