Default Placement of Futaba 6303SB on T-Rex 700n?

Hi,

I'm new to Futaba.

Where do I mount a 6303sb receiver and how do I route the antennas on a T-Rex 700 Nitro?

I know the antennas must be 90degrees to each other.

What are the best method to achieve this on this heli?

Pictures are welcome.

Thanks in advance!

I mount my receivers on the top, angled portion of the receiver mount.

I use Velcro to mount. The Antennas are doubled back underneath the velcro, and positioned so one sticks out of the left side of the receiver mount, and the second points straight up vertical.

I'll try and post a picture later.

That being said, I've seen them run with the Antennas in a variety of positions (Some, very "non-ideal") without any issue.

Your other electronics are going to drive your receiver placement as well. With the CGY750, full size V-Bar, or Vortex, you'll have more options due to the separate sensor from the main board.

Thank you! I placed my MSH brain where you mount the Gyro on a 700n. The 2s lipo are on the top part of the receiver mount and my Align 2 in 1 regulator are mounted underneath the receiver mount. The compartments inside on the left and right side are empty. What should I do? I will post a pic of my current setup later today.

I don't see a problem with the way you have them routed as long as you are not "cramming" the end-of the antenna-lead that faces forward into the Canopy.

Those ends can be a bit fragile.

I like the clear 3M with red-backing for securing to the frames.

I have seen a few guys use some 4mm plastic tubing and route their leads through this (then attach tubing to frame with the 3M tape).
This way the antenna-lead doesn't actually make contact with the CF frame itself.

Thanks, the tips of the antennas are safe and secure. I triple checked that they will not get damaged when removing the canopy, lipo etc. I secured the leads afterwards to the frame with M3 tape and made sure that they cannot be damaged by edges of the frame. Looking forward to do my first flights with Futaba system. All setups are done, but the weather are not good for this weekend...
