Hey Bob,

I just bought a trex se and I have to say I appreciate all the time and effort you put fourth to explain this heli. I just bought an se and I'm really glad this site is here. I was looking at my new jr 9303 tx manual and felt a little overwelmed by everything. Could you please help with this radio.

THANKS!!

That radio is by far the EASIEST to program I have ever used. Watch my CCPM and pitch and throttle curve vids and I am SURE you will see how to do that with the 9303.... If i had one I would do a vid but trust me translation should be easy you just have to LEARN your radio....

Thanks a lot for the work you put in these videos Bob, they're a great help. It would be very very hard for me to find someone irl who would want to explain all this to me in such great detail.
Thank you ever so much, your work is appreciated a lot.

Bob, I have a Hawk Pro that I'm trying to set up. I allready watched your 9Z vids and have downloaded the GY401, HDX300, and Pitch vids. This heli is not eCCPM though. Do you have a vid that pertains to setting up mCCPM?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

As a beginner in this hobby, these videos are exactly the kind of thing I have been looking for. There seems to be an overwhelming discussion of specific hardware and comparisons (radios, birds, sims, etc.), but what I have had a much harder time finding is basic nuts and bolts advice and help from experts in the field.

Kudos, and please continue the outstanding work Bob!

Default CCPM part 1 subtrim reversed ???

Hi Bob,

Your lessons are great. However I run into something I don't understand and I bet you do. Why is there no subtrimming for Channel 6 on the radio FUTABA T6EXHP, but when you use the trim buttons (below the sticks) they go into Channel 3 which is the Throttle,If you follow the wires of the receiver Ch 3 goes to the ESC and that is correct. Now, I can't trim the 3rd servo. The connections are what the radio calls for and the receiver matches. The Swashplate is level, but I need to understand what is going on.

I do not know that radio but it may not have subtrims for channel 6! If that is the case then get the pitch servo (channel 6) and 90 as you can and use the subtrims for 1$2 to get those servos to match the position of channel 6.

ok just a quick but may sound stupid question. can i cut down and shorten my futaba 401 gyro rudder wire and gain power lead? i know the gain lead is ok but is the rudder wire already configured to see a certain resistance over that distance? that wire is damn long for a t-rex. i think i have possibly the cleanest looking t-rex with the exception of that wire. will post pics when i figure out what to do.
thanks

Sure, you can shorten them. Do it on the connector side. The only wires I know of that can get you in trouble are the motor wires and the antenae wire. You have to have a bit of knowledge before shortening them.

No problem with ESC wires. Put connectors between the ESC and motor wires while you are at it for easy removal. Some motor wires can be cut, but some can not.
