hi all used to flay planes and stopped 10 years ego ..
now i just started with heli's got my solo pro 180 about 2 months ego
been practicing on my old g4.5 about 20-30 min a day for these 2 month's
starting to feel fairly comfortable in moust orientations
but still get disoriented now and then

that's basically what i practice for 10-15 mints etch time
slow piro and accelerating them trying to stretch the rate of my control
(normally i stay in slow piro's for about 30 sec's in the vid i jut go throw my routine fast ...)
and few shaky 8's ...

just looking for tip's on what should i focus on next except for inverted backwards 8's

before i start to loop

sorry i got no real bird vid but i do on it same thing's apart from backwards
don't know y it's scares the shit out of me

First a massive thank you to RaZa for providing the method for learning the piroflip. I am no master but here's a short clip on how I fare with the dreaded piroflip

EDIT The embedding doesn't seem to work here. I'm either getting a code run or nothing at all so a link will have to do

Thanks a lot for those words, I will keep at it!

And now for something completely different: Me giving F3C a whack. Not competition level but any words on how to improve greatly appreciated.

your control is getting pretty good, but that is not a piro loop. what you're doing is piro flips in a loop, but a piro loop does not flip end over end like that. try to think of a normal large high speed loop like with back elevator (like a plane would do). now try doing that while pirouetting the entire time.

ah n/m i just re-read your description a little better. you did say piro flip loop not piro loop. but yeah now try to do some piro loops too

Thanks and about any piro loop, I have tried but I still can't get it through the first quarter without the heli going totally off course. Oh well, more practice.

You're doin great Jeblesh. Loop would be easy in your case. You just need more practice. Make sure you master all the basic. Don't skip the learning curve. Hovering in all orientations. I mean nailing it. Nose, tail, left, right, upright and inverted. Then comes the circuit (forward, backward, going left/right, upright and inverted). Then eights, 3D maneuvers (all 4 angles), transitions, throttle/collective and cyclic management and lastly precision.

Arey

Default Mode 1 Piro Flip

LOL.. I didn't realize how difficult it is to be in Mode 1 until I saw your video. I'm not sure if I'll get use to it even if I start on Mode 1. I can't imagine myself controlling aileron and elevator on two sticks.. especially on piroflip. So I think you're doing good. It is moving in the right direction too. Just note on the second flip, when you're inverted, nose pointing right, push up the elevator so you'll see the top of the heli (facing you) just like it's on a tail slide and you need to flip forward. Also, slow down the piro rate for now so you can bang the rudder all the way and still piro slower. I also don't think fast piro is ideal in the real heli if you're just learning.

Arey

Default 3D Practice

Started March last year, here is my latest sim practice flight. Been practicing more than flying. I only flies few times in a month and not every weekend. But enjoying flight simulator almost everyday

[ame]http://youtu.be/GkRobbhqI1o[/ame]

Still needs collective/throttle and cyclic management. Any more tips and advice are welcome.

Arey

Hi scoio,

Thanks for the tip..

Yes I realise my disc is not level.. have been working on that area..

have also gone back to just flip and piro to get the disc levelling thing down..

would love to see yours.. hope it's with stick movement..

Default Half piro tick-tock practice

I use Fraps. The free version times out at 30 seconds though.

I just started doing these half piro tick-tocks a few days ago. 4-point tick-tocks are easy compared to these. My goal for this year is to do full piro tick-tocks, and I can tell it's going to be a long road.
