Default Pyro vs Scorpion for E7

I'm trying to decide on a motor for a new Synergy E7se. I'm not a smack flyer but enjoy big, fast flying with fast, snappy tic tocs etc... I know the Pyros have a reputation for efficiency but how is the power of a 700-45 compared to the Nick Maxwell Scorpion 4235-520? Will the Scorpion really shorten the flight times compared to a Pyro?

My plan is to run either the HeliJive 120 or the Kosmik 160 if that matters.

The NM edition of the 4235 will run rings around a P700. Having more power will feed the addiction and shorten the flight time!! The delta termination on the Scorpion might be problematic for the HeliJive, no problem for the Kosmik though.

With that light of a machine go for the pyro 700 and 4500 mah packs and it will fly like a dream. I ran one for a short time with that setup and it flew nicely. It will have plenty of pop and won't kill flight times. It also came down cool every flight.

I agree for your type of flying you wont realise the power advantage of the scorpion, you may have to run ksa on it and it runs hotter as well so p700 will be perfect.

Thanks for all the info. Should I go with the 450 or 520?

Any reason to spend the extra $$$ on the new Pyro 750?

depends on if you have the SE kit or the regular E7. the SE would be able to handle the 520 due to different gearing but the regular needs the 450 so you can gear it correctly.

The 750 like any higher end scorpion is going to draw more power. It will be a lot more efficient than the scorpions but it sounds from your flying a pyro 700 is perfect. and will keep your setup super light with good power.
