Default Align 3GX Elev Jitters

Hi Guys

I have a 3gx on my assault 700. For some reason the elevator servo starts to jitter and slowly moves to full nose down pitch. I have this FBL unit on my 500 and 550 with no issues.

Maybe vibrations issues? I used the supplies mounting tape but I'm wondering if it can't handle the vibration so close to the motor. In DIR mode everything is normal so I'm almost positive it is vibration.

I'm using Align ds615 cyclic servos, Align BEC B6X and Futaba FS617FS controller.

The elevator is using an extension lead. I removed all the zip ties to see if maybe the wires were to tight and this didn't change anything.

Any suggestions???

Hi,

It could be vibes but imo it could also be voltage related eg. you need a better and more robust bec than the rce-b6x.
Perhaps the CC BecPro (set to 6v minimum), WR Hurcules or run a 6.6v Life direct.
What version 3gx are you running?

Version 3.1. I guess I will could change the regulator, but I'll keep trying other fixes as the regulator is brand new. Isn't the max voltage on the DS615's 6 volts?

Even if it is brand new, if you have another type to try at least it may eliminate that potential issue.

Yes, you are correct regarding the DS615's however, many run a LiFe with no issues. Likewise, HV servos normally have a recommended 7.4v but we know these are designed for running a 2S 8.4v Lipo direct, so no issues there.

Another quick thing thing to try is plugging the elevator servo into another port to ensure the servo itself is not the issue.

I have no other regulator. I have thought about swapping servos to see if the problems follows.
