Where can I find damper?
Been flying my belt for a while. I changed the "head" rubber damper once using some from another spare head.
Now I am looking everywhere to find just the damper. Anyone knows where I can find them? Thanks |

I can't find them available separately. Only available with a new head block.
Does anyone else here remember if the align t-rex 450 V1 dampers were compatible? Has been a few years since I owned my belt, so wait for someone else to confirm. I seem to recall the V1 align dampers were compatible, and are available separately. It might even be mentioned in the super sticky/compatible parts list at the top of the page. EDIT : Just checked - here you go!! T-Rex new damper system (#FS-BLK-V1) MX400 dampers (#HMXE7358) (thanks to testpilot58d) And the link to the compatible parts list :- https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=68411

The ones for the Blade 400 also work fine and they are available separately from the head.

Mods, can you add the Blade 400 dampers to the sticky?

Thanks for the suggestion.. Blade 400 seems to be a close match to the belt for few things. I tried to use a Blade 400 tail shaft on the belt without success tough, even with some modifications. I will get some of those dampers.

You can fit the entire Blade 400 tail mechanics, just need to drill out the locating holes in the boom, from 3mm to 4mm. The Blade 400 parts are mostly much cheaper and at least as good if not better quality. Blade 400 main gear is a drop-in and much stronger than stock, that's a well known swap too. My Belt CP is a hybrid with the whole Blade 400 head and tail mechanics. Quite docile and stable.

I used to use that fuel line as a damper. Lasted for several months. Then I have problem, the wood blade track is off. Changing the fuel line didn't solve the problem.
Then I use Trex 450 v1 (v1 has 3mm spindle, v2 has 4mm spindle). Again I change it to Trueblood Trex 450 v1 damper. It solve my problem. I still use the same Trueblood damper after more then 2 years. |
