Default Ballistic swash-plate & set screws?

Hi all

During a flight with my Ballistic 700 a few days ago, I noticed that the blade noise was a bit more 'fluttery' than usual, just a bit odd? After landing and checking I found the inside of the swash was very slightly seperating from the outer black part. Not by very much, but it can move by about 1 mm up and down?

Possibly I didn't tighten the 3 set screws that grip the outside of the bearing enough? How much pressure does everyone put on these small screws?

I am tempted to take the swash out and use a small amount of green loctite to lock the outside of the bearing to the swash, plus maybe use red loctite on those small set screws instead of blue? I know this would make it more difficult to take apart, but to be honest once a swash plate is assembled there shouldn't be much need for a long time?

Has anyone else had something similar, which strength of screwlock do you use?

I am rebuilding a Ballistic. The swash moved up and down slightly. There is a flanged edge on the bottom side of the swash. This is where it was moving or loose so I replaced the swash. Another post showed where his swash came apart at this point.

As for the set screws I just lightly tightened them and used blue lock tight.

Nice idea with the Goblin 700 swash was that a direct fit without modification?

+1 , Was it a direct fit ? How many flights did you have on the original swash ?

Hopefully the Goblin swash is better since this post.

Yikes, this is making me very nervous. I'm going to take mine off and use green bearing locker, or maybe even epoxy. It's better if this never comes apart!

Mat, do you know if the geometry of the Goblin swash is exactly the same between ball centres? This looks like a good idea as long as it's the same?

Yes it is a direct fit, 120° CCPM. Just put some 4.8mm balls, as gaui or others, because Goblin ones are bigger.
This swash plate is great, and all my friends use it now (2 + me).

More thant 100 flights (I flight pretty hard) and 0 issue, 0 play and for just 40$

What I like with the SAB swash, is upper part and bottom one are fixed with screws.
And I prefer screws than loctite.

Very good upgrade for the Rave.

Yes thank you for sharing well be picking one up as well.., have around 140 flights on my E around 15 gallons of fuel on my other rave with stock swash, both are showing a little bit of play...

Speaking of upgrades, was looking at the KDE boom support Rods for the align 700E .. Any of you guys using them on your Raves , wanted to pick some up but not sure if they would fit..

I have never tried the KDE boom supports but It looks like they would fit.

Does any one know of different ball links that fit the Ballistic ? I found the stock ones very hard to thread on to the rod and very hard to adjust. Small issue but it would be nice to have a option.

Would you have a link or Part number for them ? Can't seem to find them. Thanks

I received the swashplate today. Just looked at it quick but it looks like it is good quality.

Quickuk H2031 for red ones or H2031 for black ... had to drill them out to fit the 2.5 mm swash to grip links... fits all the other links without drilling... They can be drilled out to fit up to 3mm links.
